i’m SO looking forward to teaching my sketching/drawing workshop in sicily ! even though i am super shy, the thought of doing what i love to do in a beautiful setting and being able to share my approach to art with just a handful of people sounds dreamy. here is the tool kit i put together for my students. i can’t wait to see how they fill up their sketchbooks !

my new book “France: Inspiration du Jour” (chronicle books) was released today ! the book is a peak inside my actual sketchbooks during sojourns in france: a compilation of sketches, photos, and musings. you will learn what inspires and amuses me. i never intended for anyone to ever look through my sketchbooks (let alone publish them) so it’s kind of a funny feeling . . . but a good exercise and lesson in overcoming my shyness.
