everytime i try to draw a portrait of wilma, she ends up looking like a scared rabbit. she has the most expressive ears of anyone i know. i particularly love when they go straight out like this, she reminds me of the flying nun.

the scent of comfort.
thanksgiving is my all time favorite holiday. i really do feel SO thankful throughout the entire year, but on this one day, the gathering of family, friends, food, laughter, warmth, and love is my idea of the word COMFORT. my new candles grace the house with a very comforting scent. it’s beginning to smell a lot like thanksgiving . . .

a HOLIDAY SALE . . .
i’m having a BIG holiday sale at my studio ! i like to get rid of things at the end of the year to make for a fresh start to the new year. there will be a lot of weird things that i have collected, things you didn’t know you needed, things that i have used and loved, books that i have written and will sign, a small amount of handmade ceramics, and SO MUCH MORE !
it will be a festive event and a great way to kick off your holiday shopping. the whole sawtooth building will be open with many artists selling their wares, and there is sure to be lots of COOKIES.

this couch was en route to the city dump when i rescued it from its demise. i never would have thought to choose a pink velvet couch on my own, but i LOVE it so much. it lives in my office and i fall more deeply in love with it every time i look at it . . . and it is super comfy !
