all of my needs met in one breakfast.
today i had a bit of a mishap while visiting the TREVI FOUNTAIN. because it was 90 degrees outside and because i have a curious spirit, i quickly dipped my foot into the fountain and was immediately ARRESTED ! it was not a pretty sight. the two policewomen who arrested me were not pleased that i didn’t have my passport and that i was not being entirely compliant. why were there no signs ? how was i supposed to know ? i promise i won’t do it again ! it’s not like i was wading in the fountain ! i could have sworn i saw audrey hepburn do it ! nope, they were not amused and they held me hostage for a long time demanding that my husband go back to fetch my passport. LUCKILY for some reason i had my drivers license with me and that was all they needed to slap me with a fine. live and learn.
P.S. three days LATER, this article was in the new york times !
i don’t even really care for pizza . . . EXCEPT when i’m in italy ! i’m not sure who, what, where, when, how, or why . . . but everything about it is just BETTER !
this incredibly lovely man weaved all of these products right there in his teeny tiny atelier. it was the dreamiest and sweetest shop EVER.
catania, italy.
i was AMAZED at how well these beautiful students took to sketching and painting. some of them claim they had never even drawn before, which only reinforces my belief that we were ALL born artists. sometimes we just need a little push and encouragement to get things going.
such a satisfying day.
