this porcelain bowl is SO translucent that you can see my hand AND the STARS through it.
it was a BAD CLAY day. but that’s what i get for being an impatient potter. i always want things done fast and i push my clay to the limit . . . two giant porcelain bowls bit the dust.
when. will. i. learn ?!
i donated this vase to THE CLAY STUDIO (in philadelphia) auction which ends on monday ! you have a chance to buy this handmade porcelain vase for SUCH a DEAL. the actual retail price of this large vase is $225.
go HERE to bid.
i’ve donated this large porcelain bowl to the KALA ART INSTITUTE spring gala & auction.
the preview party is tonight and the gala is on april 25th. if you live in the bay area, this is a great event to attend and there will be so much amazing art to buy !
i have always been obsessed with bowls, but recently ALL i want to make, draw, or paint are bowls.
this is a new series that i started at the end of 2014.
i’m looking forward to exploring it further.
the natural light in my studio is phenomenal.
this photo was taken with no lights and no filter.
au naturale.
i’m starting to stock up for my upcoming holiday sales and my table is looking very wintery to me. snowy and orangey. i am addicted to these clementines. i eat at least six of them a day (sometimes i worry that i have scurvy . . . i crave them). stay tuned for the announcements of my upcoming cool holiday venues . . .
