i did a series of bottles this year. here are just a few of them.
i had an epic sunday. i went to the beautiful island off of cannes called ILE SAINT HONORAT. it was truly an amazing day. this island was founded in the year 410 and is run by benedictine monks. there are rules you must follow: no smoking, no cars, no noise. unknowingly, i timed my arrival perfectly with a full mass. it was one of the most moving experiences i’ve ever had. the service was conducted by about 20 monks. their chanting in perfect harmony sent chills down my spine.
this is the old monastery that is still standing after 16 centuries. it is unbelievably beautiful inside.
there is vineyard in the middle of the island. the monks make wine !
i left a rock for the monks that says “CALME.” (calm in french). i hope i don’t get in trouble for littering.
as you may know, i am a lover of sea glass . . . especially mediterranean sea glass. while i’m in the south of france, i go for a swim in the mediterranean sea every morning and pick up a few pieces.
as you can see, we are still in love with each other.

we went to a neighborhood block party where everyone brought something yummy to share. this was just ONE of the amazing treats that night.
we were so lucky to get a private tour of MADOURA, the studio/factory where picasso produced ceramics here in valauris, france. it was amazing and so informative.
they didn’t allow photos to be taken in his actual studio workspace, but i begged and they let me take some if i promised not to publish them . . . but if you visit me at my studio, i can show them to you in person ! his studio was so inspiring to me.
this is the kiln picasso’s work was fired in !
i’m always ready for a little rosé break. here in france, people start drinking wine the minute they wake up !
i was invited into the home of the late fabulous artist, jean derval. the house is stunningly charming. i fell in love with the kitchen. this is just the way french people live . . . NO stylist NEEDED ! the kitchen looks out onto this beautiful wild garden . . .
