frocks.
i sewed an array of little frocks to wear in the south of france. i leave in TWO days and am so ready to be there. i have had an extremely busy few months. but my BOOK is just about finished. i will be reviewing the final galleys while i’m in france. so exciting. you can follow along on my trip on instagram or facebook.

ullastret, spain
we had dinner at this INCREDIBLE restaurant in northern spain. it was truly an epic meal. so much so, that i left one of my word rocks on the waitress’s tip tray. usually, i leave my rocks around the world in obscure places hoping people will find them, but i wanted our waitress to have it . . . 9 years later, she tracked me down on FACEBOOK and posted this picture of said rock. she says she carries this rock with her everywhere she moves to. now she lives in england. it sends chills down my spine . . .

ann van hoey.
the fabulous ANN VAN HOEY was visiting for 2 weeks. i met ann in france last summer and convinced her to come to berkeley to teach a master workshop in my studio. it was AMAZING. we had a full house and people came from as far away as HAWAII and OREGON just to attend her class. here she is doing her famous move: cutting the clay with giant scissors. we had a very busy and fun 2 weeks of studio visits, field trips, dinner parties, and sight seeing . . .
clay is such a bonding agent !
