the new dog.

this is my new cousin named talulah. she looks harmless enough, BUT . . .

during feeding time, she pulled a fast one on me. (it looks like i’m a messy eater, but i like to eat the chicken first, and all of those small round fillers just get in the way and go flying all over the place)

look how mean the new dog is. my mom says she is even MORE alpha than ME ! i’m so glad that i will only have to see her every couple of months.

pleasantly plump.

my dad thinks that i’m getting fat. tomorrow i have a doctors appointment and i’m sure i’ll have to weigh in. BUT i think that as long as i can still fit through the cat door (which i CAN), who cares what my butt looks like? my mom agrees and she sneaks me treats when he isn’t looking. sssshhhhhhhhhhhhh . . . don’t tell.

rubber bands for lips.

my mom thinks that my lips look like rubber bands. she gave me SO many lip kisses yesterday because it was valentine’s day, and because she loves my lips. my dad, on the other hand, refers to my lips as “inner tubes” and he prefers to kiss me on the head. either way, i got lots of love yesterday. i hope you did too.

lucky dog.

my mom says that i am lucky to be a californian dog. she says that right now, the dogs back east are wearing parkas and long johns (ICK) while i get to frolic on the beach in my birthday suit ! i know, i AM a lucky dog and i love that my mom takes me to the beach (almost) every day. THIS is the life.
