september is our favorite month of the year . . . the impending fall and everything pumpkin.
i was very excited to receive the FIRST GALLEYS for my upcoming book, FRANCE inspiration du jour. the book is almost ready to go to print ! we are still tweaking it a bit and deciding on the cover. the book will be released in spring 2017 and published by chronicle books. stay tuned . . .
i have a strong love for indigo. well, that is sort of an understatement . . . i want everything in my closet to BE indigo ! i’ve been slowly dying my clothes indigo. someone better stop me before i grow out of my blue phase and regret what i have done . . .
i love little old things. i recently acquired this little metal shovel and this little old whisk broom. for some reason, they make me very happy.
i just used oils for the first time in my life and painted my first abstract painting ever. it was SO. MUCH. FUN ! i never knew what i was missing but i’m so glad i found it. i’ve been having fun in my studio doing what ever my heart desires . . . feeling very content.
i was SO HAPPY to see the japanese version of WILMA’S WORLD being sold at TEGAMISHA. it is the most BEAUTIFUL bookstore. and it’s not just a bookstore: it’s a café, a shop, a gallery, and a workshop. on my next visit to japan, i plan to spend and ENTIRE day here. it’s magical.
