down to the wire.

these are my new-old-rusty-wired treasures from the alameda flea market today. i went in search of some new displays for merchandising my wares at the palo alto clay & glass festival in july. i love that you can find ANYTHING you could possibly need or want at that flea market. i also needed a cow bell for a different purpose (a grand event in august), and i found, what i believe to be, the one-and-only cow bell at the market today ! . . . and it was perfect.

happy mama’s day.

i just finished making this quilt for my mom using some of my dad’s shirts (he passed away earlier this year). though i’m not quite sure how she will take it. maybe it will make her sad, or perhaps it will bring her comfort (hopefully the latter). but for me, it was a very medicinal experience making it . . . . and hopefully it will be mine some day !

THANK YOU to everyone who came to our big sale and made it such a huge success. it was great to see so many old friends and to make so many new friends !!! here is a piece of pizza we had during the weekend. i loved the way it looked on one of josie’s charming plates . . . and now some lucky person out there OWNS this VERY plate !!!!!

the prize jewel . . .

yesterday i had lunch with one of my all time favorite people, jeanine payer, and her 5.5 month old latest and greatest creation, WILLIAM !!! what a little golden nugget ! he is the cutest and calmest baby ever. perhaps it is all the poetry she read to him in gestation? she makes juggling a jewelry empire and mothering a child seem SO simple.

the first and last bracelets are my favorite jeanine payers’ that i wear EVERY single day !

good junk.

today rebecca and i went to the very grand alameda flea market. i’m always drawn to the box of ceramic doll heads. they are so scary, beautiful, and morbid all at the same time.

i bought a handsome set of crisp JW embroidered linen napkins

for my handsome JW.

and a handful of cutlery for 50 cents each.
