let’s be honest here, i am a lover of livestock. my husband will attest to this fact, as i make him pull over whenever (and wherever) we are driving so that i can photograph them up close and, if i’m lucky, i get to pet them, too. i’m certain it drives him crazy, but i have made so many wonderful furry friends on our trip so far.
nova scotian lox purchased and eaten in nova scotia taste SO MUCH better than nova scotian lox purchased and eaten in california. it is creamy and meaty rather than oily and chewy. it is really that different!
i LOVE this old teeny tiny dish that i bought at a flea market in nova scotia. it’s about 2″ in diameter. this dish inspires me to get back into the studio . . . for i am so ready to touch clay again. plus i have orders to fill and deadlines piling up behind my back. one more week of holiday and then i will be elbow deep in clay until christmas eve.
lunenburg is my favorite town in nova scotia. it is a beautiful little fishing village with the most amazing views as far as the eye can see. the streets are lined with quaint stores and restaurants and there is a huge artist community. surprisingly, i walked into a store that is carrying MY work AND my friend laura zindel’s work . . . small world, or what ? we were also invited to go sailing with some of the locals. what’s NOT to love about this town ?
last night we pulled into this little town called lunenberg, and this morning we woke up to THIS picturesque view right out of our window. time to go explore . . .
