i love how this photo i took looks like an oil painting. it’s a chair + trash can in my office.
when i’m not in vermont and able to dry my clothes outside on a clothesline, our staircase in california makes the perfect indoor clothesline. sometimes you just have to improvise.
this piece of watercolor paper was the scrap that i was using to blot my paintbrush and test colors. i was just about to toss it in the trash when i realized how pretty it was ! one girl’s trash is another (or the same) girl’s treasure !

i just saw the DAVID HOCKNEY exhibit at the de young museum and was completely blown away. it was fabulous. of course, my favorite part was his sketchbooks. i always love looking at artists sketchbooks. so. inspiring.
