it was a perfect rainy day to have tea with my pal LiNG.

châteauneuf-du-pape, france
i remember this day well in châteauneuf-du-pape . . . sitting outside drinking a glass of châteauneuf-du-pape and sketching this chair across the plaza.
i love when my friends drop by the studio. i also love when my fabulous food stylist/chef friends drop by bearing edible gifts ! erin made this most amazing caramel corn (i think her secret weapon was honey). what better way to spend a grey rainy afternoon in the studio then by eating caramel corn + drinking bourbon ?
if you are like me, you like freshly ground black pepper straight from the grinder. in our household, we use our pepper cellar for red chili flakes because we use those with reckless abandon. it dawned on me that maybe you hadn’t thought of this ? it seems that a lot of people are buying just a SALT cellar and not a PEPPER cellar. but now you have a good reason to . . . come on, spice it up !
i designed a new salt cellar and this one has a “spoon.” most people prefer to “pinch” their salt (i’m one of them), but there are some people who are squeamish about having a lot of fingers in the salt and, well, it is more ladylike to use a spoon. so now you have options. and you can still go old school by ditching the spoon !
get one here.
