some of the fruits in france are SO much bigger than they are here . . . and even though i live in california, a LOT of them of taste better too. don’t. ask. me. why.
this was one of my favorite treats in france.
a strong bleu cheese, fresh figs, a drizzle of honey . . . oh my.
this was in the kitchen chez jean derval not even trying to be beautiful . . .
but boy did it catch my eye.
this might be the most amazing butter that has crossed my lips. it is from Normandy and has chunks of sea salt in it. it’s creamy, salty, and sweet. i actually think you CAN live on bread and butter alone.
and the packaging is pretty sweet, too.
