i am supposed to be on sabbatical and making larger nonfunctional works for FUN . . . but i was derailed by a lot of unexpected projects that i had to do. my sabbatical is about to start up again AND i did find the time to make these two large coil built vessels which made me very happy. more of THIS to come. this bowl was at the SHOJI HAMADA MUSEUM in mashiko. the museum, which is also the former studio + residence of shoji hamamda, is an incredible experience. i highly recommend a visit if you are in tokyo.
