i LOVE a sunday in my studio. it is so peaceful and calm.
it was a BAD CLAY day. but that’s what i get for being an impatient potter. i always want things done fast and i push my clay to the limit . . . two giant porcelain bowls bit the dust.
when. will. i. learn ?!
these flowers always reminded me a fried egg and was HAPPY to learn that they are called MATILIJA POPPIES (also known as the “fried egg” flower). they are so elegant yet so bold.
thank you EL MERCURIO magazine for the awesome 4 page spread in your wonderful publication in CHILE !
things are a little quiet in the studio as i finish up a few projects before diving into a much bigger project. but first, i am heading off for a little holiday in SPAIN and MOROCCO. spain is one of my all time favorite countries but i have never been to morocco and am super excited. i am not bringing my computer so there will be a few weeks of nothingness here until mid june. but hopefully my iPhone will work and you can see the photos i post on INSTAGRAM.
i was very VERY honored for the 4 page spread in the june/july issue of AMERICAN CRAFT magazine. the article was beautifully written by Deborah Bishop. she captured my story perfectly.
. . . and they even snuck in an image of my work on the table of contents page !
thank you AMERICAN CRAFT.
the opening to our show ROAD TRIP is this wednesday night from 6-8. works on travel and journeys to kick off your summer adventures and LIVE ukulele music, to boot !
even WILMA is trying her paws at ceramics ! . . . there is a limited edition of her paw plate available on my online shop.
you can see it here.
