i bought this little dish at the flea market on sunday. to me, this is perfection. especially since it was strictly utilitarian in it’s origin. i find great beauty in it’s simplicity and straightforwardness. it’s not even trying to be beautiful . . . but to me, it so is.

Very cool find! Doesn't it make you wonder though, what they put on that plate? Like, was it for food … or other things? Am I wierd to wonder that?

YES kathryn, i wondered that too ! it says "medical department" on it which makes me wonder even MORE !
