we found blackberries on blueberry hill !
was living in our new studio in vermont. AND he is the same color as the ladder . . .
we took this as as a sign of good luck and we relocated the spider into the forest.
we made it to montréal, québec . . . what a handsome city. my favorite area was the old town, the massive solid buildings are so striking and charming. even though it was SUPER hot (maybe 100 degrees), i walked for miles and miles in this town.
i randomly stumbled upon this really cute café, OLIVE & GOURMANDO, and they had my “toilettes” sign hanging on their bathroom door . . . what an unexpected TREAT !
we decided that as long as we were in vermont, we might as well drive up to CANADA. wilma helped map out our route. we drove up beautiful route 100 and our first stop was burlington.
we stayed in the adorable VERMONT HOTEL where they allow dogs and have bikes you can use (definite BONUS). it’s located just blocks from the cute part of town AND the water . . .
i’m always drawn to a seaside town and burlington is right on beautiful lake champlain. it’s unbelievable to me that vermont, new york and québec ALL border this lake.
these sheep were extremely interested in wilma. she couldn’t decide if they were friendly and wanted to play or if they were just sizing her up for a meal.
i love collecting and pressing flowers and leaves. here in vermont, we are surrounded by these beauties. nature’s perfect art at it’s best.
we are so happy to be back in our natural habitat. vermont in the summer is the perfect place to be. running in the forest, swimming in the lake, eating amazing food, antique shopping, visiting with family and friends, and working in the new studio. it doesn’t get any better than this . . .
