a NEW BOOK !
i just signed the contracts for a NEW BOOK i will be writing (published by chronicle books) ! the working title is In Pursuit Of Creativity: things i do and will be out spring 2019. the book will obviously be about creativity and things that i do. and as you can see, i do not have my elevator pitch just yet, so stay tuned for more details . . .

my candy store . . .
i’ve already made SO many trips to this wonderful art store. luckily where we are staying in rome, everything is in walking distance. i’m averaging TEN miles a day of walking !

uh oh.
today i had a bit of a mishap while visiting the TREVI FOUNTAIN. because it was 90 degrees outside and because i have a curious spirit, i quickly dipped my foot into the fountain and was immediately ARRESTED ! it was not a pretty sight. the two policewomen who arrested me were not pleased that i didn’t have my passport and that i was not being entirely compliant. why were there no signs ? how was i supposed to know ? i promise i won’t do it again ! it’s not like i was wading in the fountain ! i could have sworn i saw audrey hepburn do it ! nope, they were not amused and they held me hostage for a long time demanding that my husband go back to fetch my passport. LUCKILY for some reason i had my drivers license with me and that was all they needed to slap me with a fine. live and learn.
