the scent of comfort.
thanksgiving is my all time favorite holiday. i really do feel SO thankful throughout the entire year, but on this one day, the gathering of family, friends, food, laughter, warmth, and love is my idea of the word COMFORT. my new candles grace the house with a very comforting scent. it’s beginning to smell a lot like thanksgiving . . .

i’m very happy to announce a BOOK SIGNING at one of my all time favorite stores: the GARDENER, signing copies of my latest book In Pursuit of Inspiration. i’ll be there THIS SATURDAY from 2:00 -4:00. books will be available to purchase at the store.

this couch was en route to the city dump when i rescued it from its demise. i never would have thought to choose a pink velvet couch on my own, but i LOVE it so much. it lives in my office and i fall more deeply in love with it every time i look at it . . . and it is super comfy !

my next book signing, In Pursuit of Inspiration, is one week from today and it’s going to be super FUN ! there will be a TACO TRUCK, an ICE CREAM TRUCK, and a FLOWER CART ! it’s at one of my favorite store in fresno called ROOT, which is in the beautiful downtown fulton mall district.

happy mama’s day !
my beautiful mother is the one responsible for sending me down my creative path. not only did she start me in piano lessons at age four, but she also took my siblings and me to the local hobby shop once a week and let us choose anything we wanted. she always had us working on creative projects . . . our hands were always busy.
this is why i dedicated my latest book to her . . . i LOVE my MAMA !

let’s sketch !
everyone who buys a book at my BOOK LAUNCH this saturday will get a free sketchbook ! we were ALL born with natural creative instincts . . . we just have to tap into them. i always carry a sketchbook with me. i think keeping your drawings and musings in one book helps keep you on the right artistic track and it’s so fun to look back through it to see your progress, where you’ve been, what inspired you, etc.
